Warm Welcome for Naseem at Karachi Airport
Naseem Hameed received warm welcome at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, who won gold medal in 100 meter running competition of 11th South Asian Games. She returned from Dhaka on Thursday.
She got this rank in just 11.81 seconds. She is poor athlete from the slums of Korangi. In the history of Pakistan only some players was received this amazing welcome.

Naseem said that I didn’t expect this type of biggest warm welcome after my performance but for this I am very thankful to all. This might give her more strength in future.
She was also the part of the 4x100m relay team, which won a bronze medal in the earlier South Asian Games held in Colombo in 2006. She said that after getting sixth position in her event in the 2006 Colombo South Asian Games, pressure mounted on her but she thought if other athletes could achieve distinction in their events through hard work, then why she can’t.
President Mr.Asif Ali Zardari also gave her congratulation on becoming the “woman sprinter of the south asian region”. He also added that Naseem Hameed is a role model for Pakistani Women. Federal Ministry of Sports encourages her with the amount Rs.500, 000. City Nazim Mustafa Kamal also announced her Rs.200, 000 for her courage and brave.

SUBJECT: CALENDAR OF JUNIOR BRIGADE KARACHI ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR 2009 – 2010
As per directives of the City District Government Karachi a Schedule of Programme of Junior Brigade Karachi in the Secondary & Higher Secondary / Elementary / Local Bodies Schools of City District Government Karachi is given below which is to be strictly followed during 2009 – 2010 in all the Secondary & Higher Secondary / Elementary / Local Bodies Schools of City District Government Karachi.
REGISTRATION OF UNITS.
As per Section 17 of the Bylaws of Junior Brigade Karachi only REGISTERED UNITS shall be entitled to carryout activities of Junior Brigade Organisation under its name and pattern. As such you are requested to kindly obtain application form for registration of your school for Junior Brigade Unit and submit it duly filled in along with the registration fees of Rs.300/= (Rupees Three Hundred Only) for 2009 – 2010 in cash / cheque to the undersigned latest by 15th May 2009. A proper official’s receipt shall be issued for it. The training programme shall start on the completion of registration formalities.
Whole of the Junior Brigade Organisation shall work honorary / voluntarily and no honoraria or remuneration shall be paid to the honorary workers / volunteers. However charges towards conveyance only are arranged and born by the institutions concerned and paid to Instructor who is debuted on these institutions to impart elementary military training to the cadets. Besides this every possible assistance to be provided in the light of instructions issued by this Executive District office Education, City District Government Karachi from time to time to the honorary staff and cadets for efficient and satisfactory performance of their duties.
ENROLMENT OF CADETS.
All the Company Commander’s boys and Girls will select the Cadets from each school with the consultation with the Head concerned. The permission from Guardian and Head of the Institution is necessary for the enrolment. The Enrolment form filled up by the candidates duly countersigned by the Heads of Institutions is deposited with the Chief Instructor concerned who will submit the complete list of School & Cadets to the Commanding Officer as early possible. They should fulfil conditions as prescribed in 7(VII) Bylaws of Junior Brigade Karachi.
